Coming to terms with reality, for better or worse Last Tuesday we were planning to leave on Saturday for a three-day visit with my mom in Charlotte, where she’s lived in a nursing home for the last six years.
I have chosen a dark blue evening dress, what color and style shoes would compliment it?

Wow well i immediately thought of silver, but as i can see that's not what you're looking for (would look lovely tho)
Dark blue contrasts well with pink, maybe a fuschia colour, it depends how brave you are, if you chose such a bright shoe it would probably become the wow part of your outfit.
In terms of the style, it depends what the function is, if you can get away with a high heeled sandal then i think that would look wonderful!
If you want to be more conservative then i really think either a silver court or sandal would look great, or maybe even a cream colour shoe.
I'm sure whatever you pick will look great!
