Paris Hilton has described herself as “my own Barbie doll”. The 30-year-old US socialite has experimented with an edgy new look for V magazine, where she sports blunt bangs and raunchy gothic-style attire.
Who should I pick as my look-alike?

In my theatre class, we are doing a make-up unit and my teacher is having us do a look-alike project thing where we have to pick a celebrity and try to copy their look. (It could also be a character i.e. Raggedy Ann, Dracula [cant use these, though.]) I have absolutely no idea as to what or who I want to look like, so any ideas? and what what make-up would i have to use to copy this person and/or character? (someone is already doing Marilyn Monroe and Barbie)

She is really easy to do since it just involves red lipstick and purple eyeshadow and some high eyebrows

She would require A LOT of white makeup and either a mask or some black makeup as well.

Again this would require white makeup and orange makeup! Bring some pictures in the basically copy everything to a T!!! When people see a reference picture they will be more impressed.

Just use a lot of blush and red lipstick. The eyebrows need to have A LOT of mascara but again bring a picture to show your comparison!

Other than that you can never go wrong with smurfs, strawberry shortcake, any disney princesses, or animals from Disney movies or real life

All of these I would try using stage makeup (Ben-Nye) or try to find some leftover halloween makeup!!! It's dramatic and it works perfectly for the characters above.

Bringin' Rock n Roll back!

As you probably know, its all about being 'old school' these days. I mean, think about it...so many of the things we do and wear now have come from back around the 1950's...here's an example of just a few funky items that have survived decades and decades...so if you haven't got one yet or are struggling for Christmas presents for anyone, get on it! All kids adore it and its the perfect tool to get kids creative juices flowing and see what crazy things they come up with. There are so many different play-doh products to pick from so get stuck in. And don't forget, its non toxic

The 1950's was a huge decade for music, and primarily, the time that brought us rock n' roll, however, it wasn't only about the rock n' roll. Other inspirational musicians include Nat King Cole, Chuck Berry, and tons more! Don't sound familiar? Hmm...Maybe time to invest in a 'greatest hits of the 1950's' album because you're missing out!
