The Truth about Baby Gender Prediction Methods

Couples won't usually admit to it, but they usually prefer a particular gender when it comes to planning their baby.  Normally, each partner prefers a different gender; men favor baby boys, while women favor baby girls.  It's not very common the couples agree with baby gender, especially when the baby is their first one.  In different situations, one baby gender is favored by the couple because they already have children with the same gender, and this is where they usually are in agreement.  Fortunately, there are ways designed by experts that could help influence Mother Nature in giving you the baby gender you prefer, and they are called baby gender prediction methods.  They are simple and cheap; sometimes it won't even cost you a dime to follow.

Shettles Methods for Baby Gender Prediction

Based on the observation of American doctor, Dr. Landrum Shettles, each type of sperm, the X and Y sperm, or the female producing and male producing sperm, have different characteristics.  The female sperm have the ability to live for a long time (several days), while the male sperm can only last for a short time (just hours).  With regard to speed, the male sperm is a fast mover and swimmer, while the female sperm are slow movers.  From this observation, he formulated the Shettles Methods for choosing baby gender naturally.  One of these methods is the timing of sexual contacts.  If you want to produce a boy, you should time your sexual contacts a day before your ovulation, or the ovulation day itself.  Since male sperm are fast movers, they will reach the egg first and fertilize it, as soon as the ovaries release it.  On the other hand, if you want a baby girl, you should time your sexual contacts 2-3 days before ovulation.  The days of waiting for ovulation to occur will kill off the male sperm that was released in the woman's cervix, leaving the female sperm to be viable to fertilize the egg released during ovulation.

Another of Shettles Methods involves the sexual positions that couple practice when they try for a baby.  Because of the female sperm's resiliency, it can afford the long trip towards the egg, while the male sperm cannot.  The only great characteristic of the male sperm is that they are fast movers.  Therefore, if you want a boy, plan your sexual contacts during ovulation, and with a sexual position wherein the semen can be deposited as close to the cervix as possible, so the male sperm can reach the egg faster.  Sexual positions that will allow this are female dominant positions, or where the female is on top of the male.  For a baby give, alternatively, sexual positions should be those that will allow the placing of the semen as far from the cervix as possible, and the missionary position is best to use for your goal of conceiving a girl.
